Well Jason that station is very left….Canberra huh!
At least Ps Danny got his message across. I think he is on a winner here.
Go guys!
Regards,
Daniel
Wow, that’s frightening. Christine
Tell Danny that in my opinion he did a fantastic job. This radio presenter is a perfect example of the idiotic deliberate and willful blindness to the truth that is putting Australia in the shocking position it is in.
Mario
It was obvious that the radio presenter had no intentions to hear what Danny had to say. It seems he invited Danny to the radio interview simply to rebuke him for “stirring the pot”.
Even if I didn’t know the topic of the interview, I would have sided up with Danny because he showed himself gentle and respectful whilst the presenter acted in a rude manner. A rude behaviour is often an indication of poor arguments.
He asked Danny “why are you bringing these things up now during this time of heightened security alert?”
The point is, Danny Nalliah didn’t start exposing the evils of Islam this week – he’s been doing this for more than 10 years! Why should he back off now? To withdraw his comments would show fear of public backlash. One who is faithful to his beliefs does not shy away because of public opinion. Danny is showing he is not fearful, but has courage to stand up for what he believes.
The presenter said “Do you want to ban Islam in Australia?”
The point here is not banning Islam. However we should take stand against anything that does not conform to the law of love. Islam in its teachings, as quoted by Danny, incites hatred and violence towards Jewish and Christians. This is not acceptable. Listen carefully Mr Presenter, evil does not have a religion. Whether it shows in Islam or in our western culture through abortion and same sex marriage, it should have no place in our society.Evil does not have nationality and it isn’t cultural either – it comes from a wicked and sinful heart.
The presenter also said “But your religion says eye for an eye (tooth for a tooth).”
Now listen to this carefully: God has never ever intended to relate to us through a law that requires punishment. This would be relationship by fear. If you read your Bible in the Old Testament you’ll find out that the law came about because of their inability to do what was right from their heart. Hadn’t been for the law of “eye for eye” they would have destroyed each other. The law is not for the righteous but for murderers, adulterers, thieves, kidnappers, rapists and so forth. If you love people you don’t need to be told not to murder because you do those things from your heart. When Jesus came and died on the cross for us He made it possible (finally!) for us to have a change of heart and fulfill the requirements of the law through love. These are great news! This is a time of grace where God has given us a chance to repent and choose what is right. The law of love says love your enemies and do good to them. We love our enemies EVEN when we don’t approve what they do. Even when they persecute us we still love them. This is TRUE religion. The entire law is now summed up in “Love the Lord your God and your neighbour as yourself.”
But has God ceased to be just and instead chose to show mercy only? Not at all. He’s giving everyone a chance to repent. The Bible is clear: he who repents will be saved but those who don’t we be condemned with eternal death in hell.
Hi Jason,
I took time to listen to Danny’s interview on 2CC and of course to be expected the interviewer just doesn’t get it. I did subsequently send an email to 2CC below.
Cheers,
Mike
Hi Guys,
I happened to listen to this recent interview and I must respectfully say I am without fail astonished to see the tremendous lack of understanding of the issue at a true root level displayed by our various political leaders and media representatives.
The true heart of the matter is not an issue which can be debated or understood in a short interview, and least of all by someone who displays (at least at face value) no true understanding at all & perceives it to be some sort of a religious “pissing competition”of “mine is better than yours”.
Let me try to put somethings into perspective without making it too long or boring.
1. If a person is atheistic or agnostic then the whole issue of religion, religious based violence, difference between various faiths etc will make no sense at all, and they will completely lack true understanding, because they are viewing the situation from a completely secular viewpoint.
2. If one has some basic knowledge, but lacks true scriptural knowledge, hence their religious viewpoint is more traditional and / or ritual based such as a broad Catholic or Anglican background again respectfully they are just not going to get the point. This also applies to the group of folk Danny mentioned ie Christians who have never read or understand the Bible, hence again their understanding is rather more a broad traditional and / or nominal base rather than true scriptural perspective or understanding.
3. If we try to take at least a basic Bible based Christian view point, to understand the Bible, there are actually 9 Covenants contained in the Christian Bible. Each has it’s own various protocols dealing with different aspects of land & life both natural and spiritual within a historical perspective. However suffice to say for the current point the Old Testament (or Old Covenant) did in fact say an “eye for an eye” in the context of repayment for physical damage / hurt done. This needs to be understood within historical context of a people who were itinerant at the time whereby prison sentences and fines were impractical, or even impossible.
Exo 21:22-24 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
However Jesus came introducing a New Testament declaring:
Mat 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Thus fundamentalist Christianity at no time, in no way, promotes or condones violence.
4. Unfortunately within the Quran & Hadith there are no such changes in doctine or covenant. The Qur’an is a single document with a revelation to Mohammed that historically moves from relative peace in the early days of Islam when they were still a minority, to violent jihad in the later period as they took control by violent warfare.
5. Thus today there maybe countless peaceful Muslims who do not (as Danny tried to point out) live by the letter of the Qur’an & Haddith. However those “true fundamentalist”Muslims who do, are indeed the IS etc of the world.
6. Let me in closing point out the difference between “fundamentalist”Christian & Islamic doctrine.
Fundamentalist Christian –
Mat 5:43-45 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Fundamentalist Islam –
Koran 9:29
Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last day, nor hold the forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and his messenger, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth from among the People of the Book, until they pay the Jiziyah with willing submission. And feel themselves subdued.
Quran (5:33) – “The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement”
Quran (8:39) – “And fight with them until there is no more fitna (disorder, unbelief) and religion should be only for Allah”
Quran (9:38-39) – “O ye who believe! what is the matter with you, that, when ye are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, ye cling heavily to the earth? Do ye prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter. Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place.”
I hope in some small way the above info may cast some light or clarity on the situation. The truth really is (at least those who follow scripture) that fundamentalist Christianity is peace, fundamentalist Islam is war with the unbeliever. Needless to say in both camps there are those who have committed wrong, however the above are the simple unvarnished facts.
I would be interested in any feedback.
Regards,
Mike
Thanks Jason,
I listened to the interview. Danny was great. Mark was patronising and rude. I called the station and politely told them that I had found what Danny said to be very interesting and truthful regarding the religion of Islam and that it was irritating the way Mark kept cutting him off. They said they’d pass it on.
Keep up the great work. You are amazing for the Kingdom!
Be blessed,
Judith
