QED – Abbott and the Bible – Â by Ben-Peter Terpstra – January 31, 2010
Tony Abbott’s pro-Bible statements outraged his opponents. And the reason is obvious to all with marbles.
In socialist circles, encouraging pupils to study Judeo-Christian texts is a sin. …

Many Christian groups have praised and even promoted Mr Rudd for being a Christian. Strangely they have been very quiet about Mr Abbott’s Christian faith since he became Liberal leader.
All too often this seems to suggest that it is actually Mr Rudd’s brand of politics, rather than his faith, that they are applauding.
At the same time the atheists, humanists and socialists have been very quiet about Mr Rudd’s ‘faith’ yet have come out firing as soon as Mr Abbott became Liberal Leader and have continued to fire at him ever since.
Again suggesting that the real motivation is politics rather than faith.
Whilst we know that, like the rest of us, Tony Abbott is not perfect – we/you may not agree with all he says or even his politics – but we need more men & women in our parliaments who will pay more than lip service to their Christian faith.
Like him or not, Tony is certainly one such man and he needs to be encouraged to stand firm against the attacks from those who think God is dead or even never was!
Please write to Tony @ Tony.Abbott.MP@aph.gov.au
Encourage him to stand firm on Christian principles, to read the Word and stay true to it as he serves the people of Australia.

Thank you for the email and I could not agree with you more. If you encourage all the people on your list to pray for ‘The will of God’ to be done in these critical times and to stand together in agreement against the devil’s will we can be sure that is what will happen.
If we resist the devil he must flee and if the ‘body of Christ’ prays in agreement that no compromise of His Word be done in the Australian Parliament by Mr. Abbott and his party then we can be sure we will be protected against everything no matter how bad it is in the rest of the world.
As a body we must believe (have faith) that things done guided by His Word will come to pass just as there was almost no healthy men to protect this country during the 2nd world war and yet we were no invaded and we suffered minimum harm because we were the first country to have Jews as the Head of State (Isaac Isaacs) and Head of Military (John Monash). We did it before Israel did and so we enjoyed the benefit of being blessed for blessing the Jews and not cursed for cursing the Jews.
I say this only to encourage you in positively knowing that even when all seems lost God will come through if we show faith (belief in the unseen) and do not waver in any way; that means going against what the current fashion may be and doing His Will.
I used to think that we must show understanding to homosexuals, other religions and defacto relationships but now I do not let what I think come into the equation because I have come to learn that even when I cannot see what is ahead if I stay with the Word of God somehow He works miracles as He has done in the life of my family and self against ‘all the odds’ indicating otherwise.
Remember when Moses was too shy to take on the role he had been given? It is the same for Mr. Abbott and Co. If they are faithful in small things then look out!!! I have stood against things that had I seriously understood when I started out would have terrified me; now I do not worry about anything, I know without a shadow of doubt I could walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear absolutely nothing and feel in time what I am to do will be revealed. So too, must Mr. Abbott learn to stand on the Word and not his own understanding and in saying that I do not mean he has to start to preach of anything like that. He must be like the advise to women in the Bible, to live so their husbands will come to love God by the way their wives behave.
We must pray diligently for Mr. Abbott to win in the ETS war because that is the fine end of the wedge of our total subservience to an enemy from the ‘East’. We must also start praying the Blood of Jesus over the country so we are not inundated with people from overseas. We can take an orderly amount as we can cope but not loose control of our Christian country to other people forcing their false gods onto us.
There should be prayers set up to pray over the people Jesus has ordained to rescue us from this prodigal situation we have had thrust upon us. God will provide answers as we take up positions against them and the Armor of God should be prayed over them so they have the time to dedicate to the job at hand.
Please understand it is only a matter of time before Israel takes up a position of attack against Iran to defuse a future attack against themselves and we will then have massive falls on the stock market and all that ensues from that. Mr. Abbot must have the reins to lead us through it. Because someone goes to church does not mean they have God’s work in mind. Church like unions and other affiliations are also places to build up networks for future power and large egos too.
Prayer must be righteous prayer and for God’s people not just those using church as the Pharisees and Sadducees did back in Jesus time.
Clean on the outside and filthy on the inside.
Enough said and thank you for the email
Yours faithfully,
Fayre
Peter, this is something I cant understand, If Mr. Rudd is a Christian then I am a Dutchman’s aunt..
They advertise in the homosexual magazines, they allow abortion up until the baby is almost born, they have taken Christ out of everything that they can, etc etc…
It is time that we REALM Christians, those who believe that Jesus died for us got out there and started to do something for Christ.. and helping get an evil government into power is not helping Christ, school are having their involvement with Christian things slowly taken away, a real Christian would not do that, they would be promoting Christ as often as they can, and if the left and Muslims didnt like it they can go home….. We should not be giving up our faith just to appease one imported religion/race/.
At least Mr. Abbott is a Catholic and is against all these things above, giving our country some hope..

All well and good, and I applaud him for standing up for Christian principles, but he was suspiciously silent on MALES considering their virginity as a gift. Men have just as much a responsibility to stay pure as women.

Putting aside for now the interesting question about end times interpretation, can you tell me how a “genuine & true Christian” can support abortion on demand, homosexuality and same-sex relationships, and giving Overseas Aid to abortion providers.
Can you also tell me why a “genuine & true Christian” would drink so much that they visit a brothel when drunk and why they regularly use the F word and worse in conversations with colleges and employees?
Now I know none of us are perfect and nor is Tony Abbott, but I think you are either letting your politics dictate your thinking or your anti Roman Catholic theories.
