Dear Friends and Family in Christ,
It is a sad day for the State of Victoria and the Nation of Australia as the first vote in the Legislative Council has gone in favor of the Decriminalisation of Abortion Bill.
Please continue to pray and trust God for a miracle!
Following is a report from Salt Shakers and a newspaper article from the Herald Sun on the current situation.
Blessings,
Pr Danny
The Abortion Law Reform Bill has just passed the Second Reading vote in the Legislative Council by a vote of 23 to 17. The vote was taken this morning around 11 am.
Amendments:
The Bill now goes into the Committee stage where amendments are proposed and debated and voted on. We understand that more than 60 amendments could be debated – covering the time abortions will be freely allowed, banning partial birth abortions, counselling, informed consent and conscientious objection etc.
The Bill then goes to a final ‘third reading’ vote.
Â
Unfortunately, if some of these amendments are passed, some MPs who voted against might it at the second reading might decide to support the Bill.
We need to pray that, as amendments are lost, that more MPs will decide to vote AGAINST the final Bill.
We believe that the Bill should be totally opposed as it gives the wrong message to the community that abortion is a ‘health measure’ and is acceptable and OK.

Media article:
MPs back abortion bill, reforms almost certain to be passed

Action – PRAY and ACT
PLEASE continue to pray that the Bill is defeated.
We will send out a list of the second reading vote early next week.
There is still time to be in touch with your MPs – email or phone them at Parliament on to ask how they voted and encourage those who voted for the Bill to change their mind during the committee process and vote against the Bill – and to encourage those who voted against the Bill to continue voting ‘No’!

Dear Jenny, what our LORD has said about the End Times before the Day of the LORD commences will be completely fulfilled. Real Christians will be persecuted more & more in response to our protests against Abortion Etc. But Pastors in the churches are not preaching against Abortion so the majority of people in the churches are supporting Abortion by voting ALP. They are also supporting Obama to become President in USA & you know he is very, very ProAbortion. Kenneth
Dana Vale once said we are aborting ourselves out of existence, at the same time we are paying others to out breed us. When did Christian civilisation turn into a suicide cult?
regards
Darrin.
Dear Danny,
I find the news of passing of the Abortion Bill in Victoria extremely distressing. But you and all of the other Christians in Victoria who have so valiantly opposed this bill are to be commended. You were not called to be victorious, but to be faithful, and faithful you and the others have been.
In spite of what the state sanctions, as Christians we will not kill our own children. We will not live as those who do not know God. We will love, nurture and cherish our children from the point of their conception onwards. We will value our children as precious, for we know that it is God who forms them in the womb, and that they are being made in his image and likeness. We will continue to live as saints and sojourners in a hostile society that is increasingly turning its back on God. And we will encourage others to do the same until this merciless law is repealed.
God bless,
Dwight

Thanks Danny and Peter. Bless you in Jesus’ name. It is true that we must pray more and more and share the gospel our Lord Jesus Christ at every opportunity. Be encouraged, HE is still Lord.

Dear Danny, It is a sad day for the whole nation as you rightfully point out. God help our nation. Once it is passed in Victoria it wont be long before it spreads through the nation. God bless. Audrey & Maurice.
DEar Sir inspite of these events do you ever consider just preahing the Gospel like Jesus said to do? All these things will happen, sinful people sin. Regardless of this we are meant to continue to preach the gospel without prejudice and without an attitude of cristicsm to government and people. Drs tell me the best way to get bad out of a body is by eating better food. Good food will drive out bad in the body. I like this to the same as preaching the of the gospel. Whatever bad is in the land preaching of the gospel rather then focusing on these things will drive out the bad that happens in the land. I pray that your eyes will be open to this fact. God bless you Michael
Dear Friends,
Yes, we must pray for all Australia!!! I’ve just read an email to say how the Prayers in New York in 1995 changed New York city and another large prayer group in Oregon just lately have changed the crime records in their city.
Blessings,
Kay
Hi Danny,
I’m in Wollongong, NSW and sent emails to my Christian aunt in Victoria to lobby and pray. Thanks to all concerned who tried and prayed. Another “sign of the times”.
Here’s an email from my aunt for you to read:
Hi Sharon
Thanks for the email. Yes, that was definitely a sad day for Australia. I still don’t understand how ANYone could vote for something so terrible. It reminds me of Pharaoh who wiped out all the male babies in Moses’ time, the king killing all the little bubs when Jesus was born and Nazies wiping out Jews. Now the Victorian Government says it’s OK to kill bublets. Not only that but they will also pay for it! How awful!
So sad.

So what do you do when there is a conflict between Democracy and the Church?
a. Accept and respect the will of the majority.
b. Opt for a dictatorship like Communism or Fascism.
Your choice.
