Hi Pastor Danny,
As you requested I am sending you a written documentation of a vision I had last night while Colin was praying for you and your team at the Gateway Church here in Colac. I saw a large sailing ship, an old ship, not a modern one, with many sails raised and being powered through the water by a strong wind. The sea was not calm but fairly rough, the waves leaving white caps as the ship moved through them. At the helm of this ship I saw you, steering the vessel through the water and you were smiling.Â
As I said to you last night I did not understand the meaning but felt I needed to pass this on incase it meant something to you. This morning I have done some research into ships of this kind and what I found out was very interesting. Ships of this kind are called galleons and they were used mainly as warships. They were made mostly of oak, a very strong hard wood which lasted a very long time. they were well protected, carrying much arsenal in preparation for war and they were powered entirely by sail, which of course requires the wind to move the ship forward. They usually had 3 masts.
As I was looking at this information I thought of my vision and thought about you at the helm of the ship, a warship, leading the fight against the enemy that is trying to destroy our country. The “vessel” you are directing has it’s strength from God, as the ship has it’s strength from the oak wood, and your “vessel” is well protected by the Lord Himself and the angels that He puts around you to look after you and your ministry team. You too are “powered by sail”, the breath of our Lord Himself, the great wind of the Holy Spirit and the 3 masts of the galleon which support the sails and power the vessel are the like the 3 parts of the Holy Trinity which are your strength and support. Sea through which the ship was travelling was rough but then God never has promised His children a smooth ride has He, only that He will be with us on our journey, the reason why I believe you were smiling in the vision.
I was also interested to read that in 1606, when Quiros, the Portuguese sailor reached the shores of what he called “the great south land of the Holy Spirit”, he had actually reached Vanuatu and not Australia so maybe the vision I saw for you is an indication that not only will God give you the nation of Australia within 20 years but also much of the surrounding islands and nations. I pray that what I saw will be of encouragement and mean something to you Danny, if not now then in the future, I felt that I had to share it with you as it came “out of nowhere” into my head and I really do feel it was from the Lord.Â
May God bless you and your family and your ministry team and thank you again for giving of your time to God’s people here in Colac.
Warmest regards, Carole
