Dear Family and Friends in Christ,
Thank God for this amazing season, as we remember the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus. In the past few days, I have been reading Isaiah chapters 8 and 9. The Holy Spirit directed my attention to Isaiah 9:6-7:
“6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this”.
In spite of the pending disasters and hardships the nations will face in the next few years (as predicted in the rest of chapter 8 and 9), we thank God that we can find refuge in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. May I encourage you to spend much time reading His Word, and in Prayer and Worship. Don’t forget to tell someone about the love of Jesus this Christmas season.
