Dear friends & family in Christ,
Yesterday, Pr Daniel led a prayer meeting in the Blue Mountains area about ten minutes from one of the major bushfires. With very short notice thirty people, including at least four pastors (Brethren, Anglican, Pentecostal), joined together at Glenbrook Park to repent and cry unto the Lord to send the necessary rains. While they were praying, the heavens did open and a good soaking rain started falling where they were, resulting in them having to move undercover. The weather conditions completely changed with no dangerous winds and 23 degrees temperature.
This morning at 7.30am, Pr Daniel was in contact with people from the Blue Mountains, particularly several pastors, who confirmed that the soaking rain (in some places up to 5 mm of rain) continued all through the night in almost all of the bushfire affected areas.

In utter contrast to current media reports of extreme hyped negativity, the Fire Chief’s statements were much more realistic as to what is really happening. The NSW Fire Commissioner spoke on ABC 24 News this morning Wednesday 23rd October and said that the rains were much welcome as it gave them the upper hand in taking control of the fires and to successfully accomplish the necessary back burning to control the fires. He further mentioned that the change in weather in the past 24 hours has prevented further damage and loss of properties, homes, livestock, lives, etc. However, he mentioned that we cannot be complacent as the weather bureau’s current predictions are that by midday today the temperature could soar to 38 degrees with westerly winds of up to 70km per hour.
The good news is that all four major bushfires have been downgraded this morning from emergency to watch and act.
Pr Daniel has activated an action plan of prayer from 12-1pm today Wednesday 23rd October. There will be a prayer meeting at the same location in the Blue Mountains at Glenbrook Park, Cnr Ross St & Park St, Glenbrook. Near tennis courts. For those of you in the Melbourne area, CTFM will be leading a prayer meeting from 12-1pm today at Fitzroy Garden (next to Captain Cook’s cottage) in East Melbourne.
We would greatly appreciate those living in the respective areas to make every effort to join the prayer meetings and for all other Christians across our nation to unite in prayer with other believers today from 12-1pm wherever you are to prayerfully seek the Lord for the much needed rain and appropriate winds from heaven to protect NSW from any further disaster.
Pr Daniel stated, “Do not listen to the negative words spoken by the media. Let’s prophesy the word of the Lord, that in Jesus name we take control of the situation and say that there will be no major disasters today.”
hHi Daniel, I’m on the Mid North Coast of NSW and woke today to unexpected grey skies (twas forecast to be another hot 34C day). God is right now raining over us here for 1st time in a very long while with substantive outpouring! Praise our God of eternal grace, mercy & lovingkindness! He is Lord of ALL, incl NSW & Australia. Before I picked up Pastor Daniel Nalliah from Mascot this morning, Jesus began to answer Pastor Daniel’s prayer. It began to rain requiring me to use my car’s windscreen wipers.
We proceeded directly to our meeting place and began the meeting an hour before the starting time. I sensed the presence of the Lord as we began to praise him. Pastor Daniel wanted at least 6 people to be present, but over 30 people joined in the worship and praise. I was pleasing to see so many join us at such a short notice. There were locals and a number from Penrith area and Sydney. There were children also with us. Also one grandfather with two grandsons came up to us at Pastor Daniel and I were praising the Lord and shared a story of how his daughter’s house as well as her friend’s house were the only houses left standing in their street – because they had prayed and asked the Lord to protect their houses.
The rain continued through our prayer and praise time. At the end we believed that we had achieved what God had called us together to do.
I drove back in the rain after dropping Pastor Daniel back at Mascot.
Our God answers prayer and particularly when we obey his voice and do quickly what is asked of us.

We have had requests from Sydney Australia and also from Kris Schlyder from Australia for prayer support regarding the firestorm. Wildfires are common in Australia’s summer months from December-February. Dry and a warm winter with record spring temperatures has seen the 2013-14 fire season start early. Firefighters have been battling an enormous blaze in southeastern Australia on Monday, with officials warning it could merge with another fire to create a “mega-fire” as weather conditions may worsen.NZ fire fighters are also non alert and can be expected to go as a unit of support.
Please pray for
• Safety and a covering of protection of residents in these areas and pathway of the fire.
• Pray also for firefighters for their safety and protection.
• Wisdom and direction and strategy to bring this fire under control.
• Pray for a release of the heavenly hosts for signs wonders and miracles in the name of Jesus
• Ask the LORD for wisdom and strategy that will enable all those on the ground to meet the needs of anyone being effected; including those suffering from the drifting smoke over towns and communities including Sydney and for alert and active support such as communications, medical, doctors, transport etc. wherever necessary.
• Bind all principalities and powers over the whole area making decree that Jesus Christ is LORD and the power of the victory of the cross and the blood of His protection.

Dear Jason,
Thank you to Ps Daniel for this prayer initiative. It was wonderful how he made the trip to the mountains from Melbourne. I believe that was one of the reasons the Lord heard the prayer.
After your email, we held a small prayer meeting in our home at 3-4pm, and a few people joined on the phone or prayed themselves at home at the same time.
The Lord is merciful and I believer He has heard the prayers of His people.

AMID the bleak and terrible images of the bushfires, Strewth had been clinging to the possibility of one small moment of light relief: a statement from Danny Nalliah.
The Catch the Fire Ministries pastor and force behind the Rise Up Australia Party (which endeavours to “keep Australia Australian”) has, after all, delivered the goods in the past. In 2009, for example, Victoria’s fiery cataclysm was apparently the result of Australia’s abortion laws. Pressed on this at the time, Nalliah explained: “The Bible is very clear. If you walk out of God’s protection and turn your back on Him, you are an open target for the devil to destroy.” (A complete verballing of the Biblical passage Nalliah was referring to, but let’s not quibble.) What would happen this time? Would Nalliah go so far as to suggest the Almighty had expanded His modus operandi to the extent He was willing to use 11-year-old arsonists as His holy instruments of doom? Alas, no. Quoth he: “I’ve been deeply saddened and burdened to stand with my fellow Aussies in the Blue Mountains and cry unto the Lord in repentance and prayer for a breakthrough in the weather pattern.” We’re starting to think we liked his old stuff better.

Praise God the Lord Yeshua showing Pr. Daniel to pray with friends and folk in the Blue Mountains.
Believing, praying with you for Lord’s merciful intervention demonstrating His so willingness to Australia and beyond that people humbly cry to Him in trouble and He will answer, as the scriptures teach, as I’ve just been reading yesterday in book by Pst Cymbala of a Brooklyn Tabernacle “Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire”, whose despairing cry as a young pastor the Lord answered telling him to teach his church to pray, which he did with so many dramatic life changing salvations, results, church plantings, thru his church praying and which increased to 24/7 prayer, glory to God.
