In the last few days while praying regarding the election, and watching the polls on television, I have been feeling strongly in my spirit that Julia Gillard would do something in order to win the Christian vote back, since it is very clear now that most Christians will not vote Labor in this election.

We have now received information that PM Julia Gillard is planning to do so, as one Christian organization has met with people from Labor behind closed doors and come up with a strategy to win back the Christian vote for Labor.

Please pray that Christians don’t get sucked into this deception and vote wrongly as this is what happened exactly with Kevin Rudd. I have been made to understand that Julia Gillard is planning to address the Christians in a speech, which will target their votes.

Please do not get carried away with what is promised or said by her or Labor, rather check the fruits of the tree. I am sure you will soon find out about this “Christian” organization.

I have just read the letter you wrote regarding the current prime minister Julia Gillard and I wish to say that I too have had similar misgivings over her as our next prime minister.
I was wondering if you could stand in prayer for me as I am to work at one of the polling booths on voting day as a polling clerk. I was hoping to pray for the covering of the Holy Spirit on the center and that I might be a witness to those people and God’s light might shine through me on that day. I stand in the gap for the Australian public that our votes will count toward a Christ based government.

Understand that ‘when my people return to me and repent I will restore their land.’ It is time to actually reveal how they are operating. I found out after truly believing they had the people at heart. They have a hidden agenda just beginning with condoms in schools for 10 year olds. If you are referring to the ACL, I am absolutely disgusted they are doing this again. I wrote and complained they were giving Kevin Rudd an opportunity to decieve people again..and now they are doing this with Gillard?? They do not represent Christians. I am just SO appalled and disillusioned with my fellow Christians. I fear we are in trouble.

It is not just Julia who is using the opportunity to deceive Christians, it is ACL giving her the opportunity – it is time you denounced ACL. At least Julia is honest about her atheism.
I have already denounced ACL in my article in Fidelity and in the latest AD 2000. It is time Protestants did likewise.

Let us remain united as fellow Christians and not denegrate other believers and/or Christian organisations. The ACL is a Christian organisation that aims to inform voters by presenting the values of all political parties to the public in an unbiased manner. The ACL is not biased and only presents information so that readers can make up their own minds who to vote for. In the article you directed us to in The Age, the spokesman for the ACL commended Kevin Rudd for his ‘personal faith’. I wonder how many Christians will be led astray by people they view as a Christian lobby and voice who are trying to blur the distinctions and draw people’s attention away from the plain truth.

I have serious issues with Wallace and the Christian Lobby’s agenda.
There has been significant ground given to the Homosexuals under a Labor Government. You can guarantee if Gillard gets in as PM Gay Marriage is a certainty and the ACL will do little to stop this happening. They will make further concessions are they normally do until in the end the Gay community get everything they want and the christian definition of marriage will be damaged forever.
The spiritual state of this Nation and Peoples is of far greater value than Climate Change. If Christ returns within 10 years time Climate change will be seen of a minor blip and of little importance. What about World Poverty. Sadly 40,000 humans starve to death every day and I weep when world Nations spend billions on climate research and CO2 reduction strategies. Someone has seriously lost the plot, here.
Hopefully Christians in this Election will be a little more wise about who they vote for and we don’t see further de Christianisation of this beautiful country.
I do not TRUST GILLARD. I think she is double minded. Will the real Gillard stand up? Certainly not this side of the election.
She will say and act and do everything she can to win back the Christian vote and sadly many Christians will still believe what she says it true.
If Gillard becomes PM then we really will see the damage she will do to Christians in AUSTRALIA, Christian schools, Ethics and the sanctity of Marriage and human life.
Vote 1 for Liberals and Nationals and Christian Democrats (Paul Green NSW ) for the Senate. We badly need him in the Senate to counter the Greens ugly agenda.

Please be assured that most Catholics DO see it, you would do well to read Cardinal George Pell’s column in the Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) on Sunday, August 8th.
It’s not JUSt Julia Gillard that Christians need to be afraid of, The Greens too, are very anti God, and will push for same sex marriage and adoption, abortion on demand, euthansia, non religious councellors in schools to take the place of school Chaplains and much more so by voting either Labor or Green you are casting a vote against Christian beliefs.
Great to read that other Christians are concerned about the possible election of Ms J. Gillard. She is a very ambitious person, and, watching her on”Q&A” this week, it was interesting to note that she played the audience like a well-tuned violin and said exactly what she knew they wanted to hear.I believe she will socially engineer the national school curriculum to wipe out all references to Christianity wherever possible and will do her best to make this nation atheistic. She reminds me so much of what George Orwell wrote about in the allegory “Animal Farm”. Kevin Rudd did not have to go except to suit her timing for herself to be P.M. This is spiriually a very pivotal time for all Aussie Christians. So encouraged to know that many are praying all around our nation.
I do find it difficult to understand the blindness that some christians are displaying but we are basing all our decisions on the word of GOD and believing for His will to be done and it is most surely not a prime minister representing the opposite to what our Lord represents and what He values.Good for you CTFM and ps Danny we continue to pray according to His word and His will.

Further to my comment yesterday, there is a small article re “Emily’s List” in yesterday’s “Australian”. It is a worldwide band of feminists in high places who are promoting the election of Julia Gillard and putting finance into ads which ridicule Tony Abbott. As far as I know, many of our high profile female Labour leaders past and present are part of this organisation. I am sure you can read the article for yourself online, though naturally it was not a prominently placed article. I think the “Endeavour Forum” of Vic. has done a study of them.
