Dear Family and Friends in Christ,
In 1998 when I visited the US to lobby the Congress regarding Persecuted Christians in Saudi Arabia, I witnessed a debate in the House of Reps regarding Abortion at 7 months, as many were pushing to legalise it. I just could not believe what I was hearing. I was in tears in the congressman’s office and so was he, as he was the one trying to stop it.
There I received a real burden to save the next generation of babies. So I spent some time visiting the Crisis Pregnancy Centres in the US, then came back to Australia and launched the Crisis Pregnancy Centre under the name Options + Care. Our Motto is – ‘Save a Life and Save a Soul’.
This centre currently operates at the Catch The Fire Office in Dandenong and has seen many children saved from being aborted. We have been praying for the past several years for an Ultra-Sound Machine as the success rate in saving babies in the US increased rapidly with them.
Well all glory to God, even though we received very bad news regarding the Abortion laws in Victoria, we at Catch the Fire Ministries were absolutely blessed last week when a kind gentleman gave us a BIG gift, an Ultra-Sound Machine in addition to an agreement to train our staff to operate it.
Can we all say, ‘Thank You Jesus’ for the many babies who will be saved now and given the opportunity to live out their God-given destinies! We will be having an awareness day shortly regarding Options Plus Pregnancy Crisis Counseling Ministry and would love to see you there. We will keep you posted with further info.
My heart is to see Options + Care Centres equipped with an Ultra-Sound Machine, start up all across Australia.

Good on you. I’m all for saving babies. I wish there was something more that could be done. One thing Christians can do is start having larger families themselves, because those who believe in abortion will extinct themselves, while Christians will multiply.

What wonderful news! Dr James Dobson in the US has been putting these machines in abortion counseling centres at the cost of around $4,000 US. What a blessing. We have to give pregnant women who want to abort, other options than aborting, like the early Church went out in the night to collect the babies which had been left out to die.

What wonderful news for your councelling ministry, after such sad news. It breaks my heart to think of any child being aborted, but even more distressing when the term is so late in the pregnancy. My youngest son was born at 28 weeks gestation (12 weeks early). He was very tiny and very sick, but has grown into a gorgeous, completely healthy boy who has just turned 13 years old. I cannot imagine why the Victorian government can approve this new legislation – how is this not murder?
Praise God for your wonderful ministry, presenting a far better alternative to women/girls during a difficult time in their lives. What a far better option for them to choose life for their child. Better for the wellbeing of both the mother and the child!

Praise God for His love to us, and for His special gift of life that He gives to us through children.
There is a Christian ministry called Pregnant Alternatives Incorporated, (www.pregnantalternatives.com.au) which also seeks to provide unplanned pregnancy counselling clinics with ultrasound equipment, as well as fund the training of staff & volunteers.
According to their newsheet, they hope to open new Pregnancy Counselling Clinics, with ultrasounds & counsellors, as well as offering counselling & prayerful support to women who have already undergone an abortion.
I was wondering whether it would be beneficial to unite with this group, to offer a wider spectrum of available facilities for women considering an abortion to go to.
Obviously, one would first need to make sure that their counselling etc. is purely focused on the Scriptures, as not all who claim to be ‘Bible-based’ are.
I will leave it to the Holy Spirit guiding you as to what further action & direction to take.

Hi CouldI please obtain some more information regarding the success rate of when approaching mothers offering a free ultra-sound.
We too are at the preliminary stages of asking for donations re an ultra-sound purchase.
Also, if I may, obtain from you how much and what type of ultra-sound machine you are using as well as were I may obtain additional info from say the manufacturer.
Is it black and white or 3 dimensional?
