Dear family & friends in Christ Jesus,

We received this very encouraging and exciting testimony from the father of the girl who was set free from seizures recently at a Catch The Fire meeting. I am sure it will greatly encourage you.

“We thank and praise our Lord and King Jesus Christ for the victory at Calvary because without that victory and His sacrifice on that old rugged cross we would not have a testimony today.

My name is Kiran Rowland, my wife Michelle and Our daughter Shalom. Our beloved daughter Shalom had suffered from seizures for the past 4 years. I clearly remember the day our lives changed I had just returned from work and my daughter who was 2 ½ months old was sleeping, my wife was resting on the lounge when I walked in, I would usually rest in the lounge until my daughter woke up but that day I felt the urge to go into the room where my daughter slept and I saw her having her first seizure. I knew at once that it was the Lord who sent me into the room at the right time.

It was heartbreaking to watch her suffer such a lot at such a tender age. Every medical test (3 MRI’s, EEG’s, blood tests and a Lumbar Puncture) proved she is perfectly created. The doctors had no idea and reason for her continuing seizures. She was put on anti-epileptic medication which did not seem to work in fact with a certain medication her seizures just got worse and even slowed her development in speech and mobility.  At one instance a doctor at the hospital told us that our little girl would not talk or walk in her life and would be bound to a wheelchair all her life, but we refused to believe his report and kept rebuking the evil in the name of Jesus Christ. (The word of God states that the enemy only comes to kill, steal and destroy but Jesus came to give us life in abundance).

One day as my wife was praying the Lord prompted her to check the packaging of the medication our daughter was given and found that it contained lactose which my daughter was allergic to. The doctor stopped the medication at once. To make a bad situation worse we found out our daughter had an aortic valve stenosis which is a narrowing of one valve in her heart and was also allergic to Gluten, Wheat, Dairy, Lactose, Egg, Preservatives and food colouring .

This made it very stressful and demanding on my wife. The Lord has been with us through it all just as in the poem “Footprints”.  My wife wanted the Lord to heal my daughter at once but I always would tell her that the Lord has prepared a day and a time when He will heal our daughter. Our precious daughter was unable to sleep soundly and peacefully, as constant disturbance of sleep triggered more seizures. She was prescribed medication for sleep but the medication didn’t help much. Even a high dosage of this medication could not get her to sleep as she would fight her sleep the whole night and was able to get just 5 hours of sleep at night and that is when we realised that it could be a force of evil. Watching her suffer broke our hearts and my wife became very bitter and angry with God for allowing this to happen to our first born as I stood strong in faith.

Then one day it all fell apart as I bowed down to mental strain and started to  question God (which is something we should not do) and rebel against Him and the enemy took over my life and ruled my soul completely, I still used to go to church but the messages would just make no sense to me and my life felt very empty until the day the Lord used a song to turn my heart around,  the song was WHO AM I by Casting Crowns the words are:” Who am I that the Lord of all the earth would care to know my name, would care to feel my hurt, I am a flower quickly fading here today and gone tomorrow, a wave tossed in the ocean, a vapour in the wind, still you hear me when I’m calling and catch me when I’m falling and you told me who I am”, and then I remembered the book of Job and his trials.  The Lord also taught me that I’m no more than the dust of the earth for from dust were we created and to dust shall we return  and by the power of His word He created the heavens and the earth.

He is such a mighty God who is worthy of all Praise, Glory, Worship and Dominion and here was I questioning Him but still He loved me so much that He left His glory in heaven and came down to this earth to be born of a woman whom He created and died a humiliating but Victorious death on the cross for me.  At this I repented and started to encourage my wife with the word of God and a lot of love, for now I knew how she really felt and hurt.  It was after I repented that every message I heard started to open my eyes more to the word of God and show me the sinner that I was.

Yet our Abba in Heaven is a merciful God who hears the cries of His children, as our daughter would cry out to Him after every seizure she would sing praise and worship songs in her own words and pronunciations together with the Don Moen’s DVD that was playing and after a few days our daughter started to speak, walk & express herself and we began to see how wrong we were in blaming God.

During our most difficult time I started to received e-mails from Catch the fire ministries and wanted to seek Pastor Daniel’s help but due to my wife’s reservations (as we did not fellowship at the church) I did not, but I thank God one morning the Lord led my wife to call Pastor Danny .

Pastor heard her cry for help and prayed for her, 2 weeks later we attended a church service at Catch the Fire Ministries, 23 Melverton drive, Hallam.  After the service the Lord led Pastor to pray for us and while Pastor prayed for our daughter he rebuked a curse put on our child while she was in the womb and Pastor asked us to repent and ask God forgiveness for any  unforgiveness, hatred, bitterness and anger we might still have in our hearts and declared that he cuts the spiritual umbilical cord between the mother and child and Praise be to God that night our precious daughter for the first time in 4 yrs of her life slept peacefully without medication.

A week later Pastor, his beloved wife and their daughter visited us and prayed for us. We were touched by their humility, kindness and love. The next evening we attended service and while we were at the altar of the Lord praying and weeping to our Lord I was carrying my daughter in my arms and she started getting restless.  The Lord put it in my heart to pray for a change within me and again I asked Him for forgiveness not knowing that the Lord had put the same burden on my wife’s heart at the same time.

All of a sudden I felt my daughter jerk and saw her stretch out her arms towards Pastor Danny and she started to have a seizure so we laid her down and Pastor rebuked the spirit of seizures and all the congregation also joined in.  The presence of the Lord was so strong at the altar that the spirit of seizures had to depart from her and she was delivered by the Mighty hand of our Lord and Saviour Yeshua dispelling the darkness that was causing her to have all these seizures.

We give all the Glory to Yeshua for His mercy, healing touch and deliverance in His perfect time. We thank God for Pastor Danny whose obedience and faithfulness to the Lord, allows God to use him as an instrument for His mighty works on earth. I pray for the team at Catch the Fire ministries for the mighty works the Lord has used them for in the past, present and will continue to use them in the future to win Australia over for YESHUA.  Amen.

Glory to God Jesus answered their prayers. I am so happy for this beautiful family. Especially I rejoice for the breakthrough in Shalom’s life. Thank you Jesus.”
