Salt Shakers E-News: Abortion Law Reform Bill Final Vote – And ACTION!
0 Comments Published by Office 2 October 14th, 2008 in A Call To Action, Abortion, Australia, Christian Church Issues, PoliticsDear Friends and Family in Christ,
We regretfully forward the following update from Salt Shakers regarding the Final vote on Abortion Bill in the Victorian Upper House.
Now more than ever, as Bible-believing God-fearing Christians, we must individually and corporately cry out to the Father in Heaven to forgive His Church for not raising a united front against this evil legislation of the decriminalisation of abortion in Victoria!Â
Keep praying for His mercy to triumph over the nation of Australia and for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit to convict us all of sin, righteousness, and judgment!
For His Kingdom and Cause,
Pr Danny Nalliah

Abortion Law Reform Bill Final Vote
As you know, the Abortion Law Reform Bill was finally voted on at 10.30 pm on Friday night.
Sadly, it passed by 23 votes to 17 at the third reading vote. Three more MPs voting against the Bill would have seen it defeated. Â
Â
We’ve attached a LIST of MPs in the Legislative Council and how they voted.
The List includes their name, Party, electorate and their email address.
Victorians – We encourage you to contact your FIVE MLCs. If you still don’t know who your FIVE MLCs are, then click Here! See more in the ACTION section.Â
Â
The final vote is available at Hansard: click Here. On Page 101.
This will be replaced with the official Hansard soon – if the above link doesn’t work when you’re reading this, click Here, choose Legislative Council (pink), 10 October. When pdf opens scroll down left index to “Abortion Law Reform Bill – third readingâ€.
Â
Thank you to everyone who contacted their MPs on this Bill. Many MPs referred to the thousands of letters and emails they received, which is quite unprecedented!Â

Action – Victorians – PLEASE contact your FIVE MLCs!
We’ve attached a LIST of MPs in the Legislative Council and how they voted. It includes all the information you need to contact them. Click Here
for MP details.
You’ll need to write FIVE letters – one to each of your MLCs….
If your MLC voted AGAINST the Bill, please thank them for their vote and encourage them. Many of them received opposition because of their stand against the legalising of abortion.
Â
If your MLC voted FOR the Bill, please politely express your disappointment about their support for legalising abortion.
