Lord Monckton will show how a Carbon Tax / CO2 reduction is useless

Reviled by some and lauded by others the world’s best known climate sceptic Lord Monckton will deliver a 90 minute speech of scientific evidence and economic reasons, in layman terms, to show that a carbon tax or any CO2 reduction idea is useless, at a Rise up Australia (Keep Australia Australian) meeting on Monday 25 July at 7pm.

The world`s best known climate sceptic, a widely recognized commentator on climate sensitivity, will be addressing a packed crowd of Rise Up Australia Party Supporters and others in Melbourne at Catch the Fire Apostolic Centre, 23 Melverton Drive in Hallam. (Melways 96:G2)

“Lord Monckton will show the futility of the carbon tax which Prime Minister Julia Gillard is determined to thrust on Australian families who will feel it hit their hip pockets in the not too distant future,” said Rev Dr Daniel Nalliah, Chairman – Rise Up Australia Party (Keep Australia Australian).

Lord Monckton has challenged Al Gore and every high profile climate alarmist to debates and few have accepted the challenge.

He has been the focus of a media maelstrom particularly after saying the Gillard government’s chief climate change adviser, Ross Garnaut, was someone who expected people to “accept authority without question”.

The 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley or “Lord Monckton” is a British public speaker, former newspaper editor and hereditary peer. He served in the Conservative Central office and worked for Margaret Thatcher’s Number 10 Policy Unit during the 1980’s.

He also worked for several newspapers including The Universe, The Sunday Telegraph, Today and the Evening Standard Newspapers.

His climate change lecture to Cambridge University undergraduates was later turned into a full-length feature film (funded by Synthetic Plant Products for Industry Network ( SPPI) titled ‘Apocalypse? NO!’

Recently, Monckton has devoted his work toward challenging the so-called “consensus” of scientists on climate change. Along with giving lectures and writing scholarly analysis, Monckton has testified before a subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives.

His witty and satirical comments are generally loved by those who have become convinced the climate debate has been unscientific and politicised.

“Lord Monckton is an erudite man who can easily deconstruct scientific papers and deliver concise summaries in layman terms. He will expose some of the interests he believes are behind the carbon tax/climate change agenda,” said Rev Dr Daniel Nalliah said.
