Hi
Praise the Lord for this very brave girl. May the Lord bless her greatly. I feel sad though at the insensitivity of the interviewer and the fact that this girl was asked if this is a threat. It proves the ignorance, maybe not intentional, of the interviewer to not know the consequences of this girl’s actions in her family. Why cause her more trauma? There have been many cases in Australian women’s magazines, Time magazine maybe some have read the Koran. I am praying for her and her family. God Bless Shirleen.
A beautiful testimony. We pray for ongoing prayer & practical support & that members of her wider family will become believers in the Lord Jesus
As Islam is based upon a series of lies and deceptions, we should not be surprised to see Muslims’ stated beliefs change under political and other pressure. There are a number of ‘abrogations’ in the Quran which allow for flip-flops on issues that are close to central for Islam. One of these is the ‘no compulsion in religion’ sura often fondly quoted by apologists (Muslim and non-Muslim alike) to show the wonders and enlightenment of Islam. A ‘later’ sura abrogated that, as the mood took Muhammad, so that infidels must now be fought against and prevailed over (with or without jihad), and ‘apostates’ must face death.
That this young lady and countless others face death for the testimony they bear is precious to our Lord. It will be a part of those who cry out to the Lord for justice for those who persecute the saints.
Praise God that He is raising up men and women whose testimony to their Muslim families is that ‘they love not their lives unto the death’ – the name of Jesus must go out to all in Muslim lands who need to hear the Gospel of Jesus. These are no ‘cultural’ Christians but people who have found a truth worth dying for. May God bless all who hear these saints, in the best possible way! Remember a ‘fundamental religious terrorist’, nearly 2000 years ago, named Saul? God’s not finished yet.
